About AccuLedger AI
AccuLedger AI is in pre-release and is not yet available to buy. This page describes what exists today, what has been tested and how, and what is still to come — including the parts that have only been proven against a simulator.
It is an accounting and inventory platform for Indian businesses, designed around one idea: the convenience of saying "paid forty thousand to Sharma by UPI" and the discipline of a ledger that cannot be wrong. You can type, speak (English, Hindi or Hinglish) or photograph a bill; the assistant turns it into a draft voucher with a plain-language explanation of every debit and credit. Then a deterministic gate — the same rules a human entry faces — decides whether it can be saved, and a person or a policy you set decides whether it is posted.
Underneath is conventional, auditable bookkeeping: groups and ledgers, eight voucher types with gap-free numbering, receivables and payables ageing, FIFO and weighted-average stock, GST, bank reconciliation, multi-level approvals, branches, cost centres and consolidation. The AI is a convenient front door to that machinery, not a replacement for it.

Request a DemoWhat It Does
Double-entry accounting, inventory, GST, approvals and Tally exchange with an AI assistant that drafts vouchers from a sentence, a voice note or a scanned bill — and can never post one that does not balance. In pre-release — not yet available to buy.
- Eight voucher types — Payment, Receipt, Contra, Journal, Sales, Purchase, Credit Note and Debit Note.
- Draft, pending approval, approved, posted and reversed lifecycle, with a reason required to reverse.
- Idempotent posting: a retried request or a double-click can never create two vouchers.
- Gap-free numbering per type and year, assigned at posting, after the last approval.
- Money held as decimal with an explicit currency — no floating point anywhere in the books.
- Receivables and payables ageing, derived first-in-first-out, with advances and credit days taken into account.
- Open-period checks on the AI posting path, so nothing lands in a closed period unnoticed.
- Keyboard-first voucher grid with live Debit, Credit and Difference, Alt-B to balance, Ctrl-S to save, Ctrl-Enter to post.
- The same idempotency key is reused on a retry, so a flaky network cannot double-post.
- Default chart of accounts in Tally-standard group names, ready on company creation.
- Opening balances posted as a balanced, audited journal.
- FIFO and weighted-average valuation, exact to the paisa and replayable from the movement history.
- Batch tracking with expiry, FEFO allocation, expired-batch blocking and an expiring-stock report.
- Serial-number tracking through purchase, sale, reversal and transfer.
- Alternate units (1 Box = 12 Nos) with quantities converted to the base unit.
- Price lists — default and per-party — and line discounts.
- Negative stock rejected; a purchase that has already been consumed cannot be reversed from under its sales.
- Physical verification: count, see the variance, post an adjustment voucher; adjustments guard against a valuation that moved meanwhile.
- Stock-to-ledger reconciliation endpoint that replays movements and checks them against the inventory ledger.
- Low-stock alerts and a per-item movement trace.
- GST: CGST + SGST within a state and IGST across states, with input credit and a net-payable summary.
- Natural-language entry for Payment, Receipt, Contra, Purchase and Sale vouchers, with GST.
- Spoken amounts in Devanagari and romanised Hindi — "dedh lakh", "chalees hazaar", "पाँच सौ" — and English words.
- Corrections by voice or text: "amount saat hazaar karo"; confirm, post, cancel or "proceed anyway" on a warning.
- A model-supplied amount must appear in your own text, or it is rejected.
- Only an exact master match is accepted unasked; fuzzy and phonetic matches become questions.
- A new party or ledger is proposed only after a duplicate check, and checked again at creation.
- Auto-post policy, off by default: clean, exact, within your amount limit, confident, permitted and needing no approval.
- Voice entries never auto-post, and shaky transcripts lower confidence and add an assumption to review.
- Questions with cited sources: overdue receivables and payables, low stock, profit and loss.
- Document reading with per-field confidence flags and editable results; low-confidence fields are highlighted.
- Validation of line arithmetic, subtotal, total, round-off, tax slab, GSTIN format and check digit, dates and currency.
- Duplicate invoice detection by number, or by party, date and total, plus file hash.
- Proposals from a reviewed invoice keep the invoice's exact tax amounts.
- Approval rules of one to three levels, role per level, with the strictest matching rule winning.
- Maker-checker at every level; nobody approves twice; a pending queue shows who can approve next.
- Branches on the voucher header and cost centres on its lines, copied to immutable ledger entries.
- Branch and cost-centre summaries that reconcile to the company's profit and loss.
- Company groups with consent from each company's Owner, and a consolidated P&L and balance sheet.
- Explicit inter-company elimination: matched amounts removed, differences reported, profit unchanged.
- Tally preview: what will be created, skipped, duplicated or in conflict, before anything is written.
- Tally exchange is create-only — existing Tally data is never altered or deleted.
- Every voucher sent to Tally carries a tag read back to prove it landed, so retries cannot duplicate it.
- Closing-balance reconciliation against Tally after a run, with differences listed.
- Light, dark and match-my-device themes applied before first paint.
- Command palette on Ctrl-K for pages, new-voucher shortcuts and ledger search.
- Data grid with sorting, filtering, a column chooser, CSV export and keyboard row activation.
- Dashboard of cash and bank, receivables with overdue, payables, net profit, drafts and low stock, each loading independently.
- Indian digit grouping (₹12,34,567.00) and tabular numerals throughout.
- Hindi language picker, remembered per browser, with the application shell and sign-in translated.
- Accessible by construction: labels on every control, live regions for totals, visible focus, reduced-motion support.
- Backup, restore-drill and integrity-check tool; nightly integrity job that reports violations as a metric.
How AccuLedger AI Works
Drawn from the platform design rather than from a brochure. The animated ones loop; nothing here needs to be played.
Worth Knowing
Accounting software forces a choice that should not exist:
- Fast data entry or trustworthy books — pick one. Keyboard-driven desktop tools are quick but unforgiving; friendlier tools make it easy to post something wrong.
- Bills arrive as photographs and voice notes, and someone retypes them. Every retyping is a chance for a transposed digit and a duplicated invoice.
- AI tools that "post for you" are a liability. A model that guesses an amount or a party and writes it to the ledger has moved the error from a person to a process nobody checks.
- Tally is where your data already lives. Moving to anything else must be a reversible, previewed exchange rather than a leap.
- Growth adds structure: branches, approval chains, group companies and eliminations that small-business tools treat as an afterthought.
- Books that cannot be unbalanced — every posted voucher balances, is numbered, and is immutable. Corrections are reversals with a reason, so the original is always there.
- Entry in seconds, in your language — sentences, spoken amounts ("dedh lakh", "chalees hazaar") and scanned invoices become reviewable drafts.
- AI that asks instead of guessing — missing amount, party or date means a question, not an assumption; an amount the model invents that is not in your words is rejected.
- Control that scales — one to three approval levels by voucher type and amount, maker-checker at every level, a hash-chained audit trail.
- A bridge, not a cliff, from Tally — preview, backup-gated, duplicate-proof exchange.
- Same numbers everywhere — every report derives from posted ledger entries and is tested to tie out to them.
Relite Solutions has built business accounting into dairy, trading, insurance and ERP products for years. AccuLedger AI is the general-purpose ledger we wanted underneath them and the AI front door we wanted on top: built with a written specification, invariants stated before code, property-based tests for the accounting rules and a backlog that records what is not done as carefully as what is.

Talk To Your Books
"Sold to Mehta Traders for 1,18,000 plus 18% GST, cash received" becomes a draft Sales voucher with the GST split, the cash line and a one-line reason for each debit and credit. Ask "which customers are overdue?" or "low stock?" and get an answer that cites the rows it came from. Where the sentence is ambiguous it asks; it never guesses an amount, a party or a date.
Bills In, Vouchers Out
Upload a PDF or photo and the reader extracts header, lines and taxes, checks the arithmetic, the GSTIN check digit and the slab, spots a duplicate by invoice number or by party, date and total, and flags low-confidence fields for you to correct. Only a reviewed document can become a proposal, and each document links to exactly one voucher.
Control Without Friction
Approval rules say "purchases over a lakh need an Approver, then the Owner". The strictest matching rule wins, tightening a rule reopens an already approved voucher, and two approvers acting at the same instant are both counted. Every submission, approval and rule change lands in the hash-chained audit log.
Grow Without Re-platforming
Add branches and cost centres, see each branch's own balanced trial balance, then join companies into a group and consolidate. You link the inter-company ledgers; the matched amount is eliminated and any difference is reported rather than buried.

- Not started: Windows, Android and iOS apps, offline mode with sync, installers and store packaging, bill of materials and production, barcode scanning.
AccuLedger AI is built on .NET 10 LTS, supported to November 2028, rather than on a release candidate. The target framework lives in one property and the domain layers use only base-class-library APIs, so the move to .NET 11 once it reaches general availability is a build-and-test exercise rather than a rewrite.
